The Toon Council Presidential Elections/Doomsday

The Toon Council Presidential Elections were the first major event both in Toontown Rewritten and its story, way back in the Alpha stage of development. Flippy and Slappy were chosen as candidates for the Toon Council's president, and both held campaigns to garner votes. On the day of the election, however, Cogs invaded Toontown for the first time in an event called Doomsday. It's implied that Scrooge McDuck is accidentally responsible for this invasion, as he is mentioned in a post-election blog post and several hints about the story given on MMO Central Forums during 2013 reference Toontown Online's old downloader video.

The event was officially announced on February 15, 2014, though it was referenced as early as Halloween 2013. A few days after the event, on April 26, 2014, Doctor Fissionton (whose name was unknown at this point) made his debut in TTR's story as the one responsible for posting a memo from the Chairman.
